Internet2 Global Summit, Denver, CO April 6, 2014
D2L, the EdTech company that created the world’s first truly Integrated Learning Platform (ILP), today announced that nineteen leading higher education institutions have recently selected the ILP, or expanded their existing investment in the platform, to improve learning by delivering a more flexible and personalized experience for their students.
That momentum in higher education will continue, as D2L has also announced that the Internet2 community has selected the organization to provide services to their U.S. higher education members through the Internet2 NET+ initiative. Internet2 is a national research and education network with an established community of more than 250 U.S. universities, 82 leading corporations, 68 affiliate members (including government agencies), 41 regional and state education networks, and more than 65 national research and education networking partners representing over 100 countries.
“We’ve enjoyed great sales growth in 2014 and I’m proud to announce that nineteen higher education customers have just signed new deals with D2L,” said John Baker, President and CEO, D2L. “That momentum will be further propelled by the partnership we’re announcing with Internet2. While D2L already has strong participation from the Internet2 community, this partnership will provide even greater collaboration opportunities with their vast community of education leaders.”
